Battle rules

What everyone on the field must do, before and during a battle.

These rules are for everyone on the field: soldiers, commanders, leaders and staff.

Before the battle

  • Only a commander signs a company up, with an honest headcount. Sides are balanced on it.
  • Each company type has a cap on how many men it can field. Men-at-arms, skirmishers and cavalry fight one company per side, and only if the other side brings the same type.
  • Once teams are locked there is no switching sides and no dropping out.

On the day

  • Join before the round starts with your commander's code, and wait at your spawn.
  • Stay with your company and follow your commander. Your company's flag is your spawn.
  • Do not leave mid-round. A company that brings fewer than half the men it promised has that counted against it.
  • No exploits and no sabotage. The game's anti-cheat reports them anyway.

The organizer

Every official battle has an organizer. They can pause, restart, rebalance or end a battle, and their call stands for that round.

If you think a call was wrong, raise it afterwards in a support ticket on the Medieval Kingdoms server, not in the battle. Pretending to be an organizer is a major offense.

Strikes

Breaking these rules can earn a strike.

  • A strike is given to a company, and it also counts for the company's nation.
  • A minor strike is 1 point and a major strike is 3 points. Strikes are gone after 60 days.
  • A company is reviewed at 3, 5 and 8 points. A nation is reviewed at 2, 3 and 5 points.
  • A strike is always given by a person, with a reason, and you can appeal it. A crashed server is never your fault.
